Prathama, Dwitiya, Tritiya ---less inauspicious (Moon is emerging)

Chaturthi,---- most inauspicious (semi-square to Sun)

Panchami, Shashti, Sapthami ----less auspicious.

Ashtami, Navami---- most inauspicious (square to Sun)

Dasami, Ekadasi, Dwadasi ------ auspicious,

Triyodasi, Chathurdasi, Poomima, ----- most auspicious.

Krishna Paksha:

Pratipada, Dwitiya, Tritiya -----most auspicious (Moon still large)

Chaturthi ----- most inauspicious (waning and semi-square)

Panchami, Sashti, Sapthami ------ auspicious

Ashtami, Navami ------- most inauspicious (waning and square)

Dasami, Ekadasi, Dwadasi ----- less auspicious

 Nanda Tithis are Positive in Krishna Paksha

Bhadra Tithi are Positive in Both Pakshas

JayaTithi are Positive in both Pakshas

Rikta Tithi are Negative in both Pakshas

Poorna Tithi are Positive in SuklaPaksha

The Tithi in muhurta astrology is ruled by Jala Tattva /the water element/Venus and shows the state of the mind; whether it is excited, bored, nervous, afraid, agitated or calm. The tithi is used to see if an event will be successful.
